Remember all leaders need to be trained and our veteran leaders need to renew their training. (Please forward this to your assistant den leader.)

Veteran leaders; when was the last time you renewed YPT & NLE for your specific scout position?

Please find the websites below to help you for with your training. Also, I have attached the training schedule from the Sam Houston Area Council. Both councils are available to you for training. Check out which one will accommodate your schedule.

Some of the training can only be done in person or online. Take advantage of the convenience of the internet. The BSA website is a great resource to help you with your training.*  www.olc.scouting.org

(Member numbers are going to become more important. After your registration is complete, you will receive your member number to input into the online course.) If you don’t receive it, call the council office @ 409-744-5206. You are welcome to our training, or someone else's training. It all counts the same. Just be sure that before you leave the training session, you get your Training Card.
