Cub Scout Pack 414 was founded in the summer of 1998 by Saul
Pontifes, Debby Amick and Phil Amick and is chartered through Pearland Pediatrics.
We are an active, family-oriented unit of the BSA under the Northern
Star District within the Bay
Area Council. Our pack consists of several
dens
which are divided by grade levels, 1st through 5th.
We hold monthly Pack meetings at Silverlake
Elementary.
Pack
414 is run by the Pack
Committee, which is made up of dedicated parent volunteers.
The Pack
Committee oversees the pack program and administration.
The Committee helps plan activities
and helps the Cubmaster
plan the pack meetings.
We have a lot of fun camping three-to-four times a year. We
encourage the whole family to attend. We
sponsor a Rocket Launch,
Pinewood
Derby , Space
Derby, Raingutter
Regatta, Blue and
Gold Banquet, Arrow
of Light ceremony each year.
We participate in District events such as Things-That-Go,
Cub-O-Ree, Webelos
Resident Camp and Twilight
Camp. We also visit new places
and do fun things during the summer.
Pack 414 is a strong supporter of
Clean
Pearland. We have adopted County
Road 90 and areas around Silverlake
Elementary and Silvercrest
Elementary. Another way we give back to the community is by being
involved in an annual Christmas
Service Project.
If
you would like to join our Pack or would like more information, please give us a
call.
Yours
in Scouting, Pack 414.
