What will we be doing?
We will be camping aboard the USS Lexington aircraft carrier in Corpus Christi, TX
What date?
Saturday, March 6 through Sunday, March 7, 2010
NOTE: You must REGISTER AND PAY before December 5, 2009 for this event. The pack is required to send the fees for all campers to the USS Lexington by December 6, 2009. Absolutely no late registration will be accepted.
What time?
Plan to arrive on board the USS Lexington for check-in by 3:00pm
How long will the event last?
The event is scheduled as an overnight camping trip for scouts and parents (NO SIBLINGS)
What should we bring/What are the details?
150 Slots are currently reserved. If we fill the 150 slots, we can contact the USS Lexington to check on additional availability, and then increase the allotted slots. However, payment is still due by December 6.
Sleeping bags, Class A uniform, Class B uniform.
PLEASE NOTE! Female bunks/quarters will be separate from Male bunks/quarters
NO ELECTRONICS FOR SCOUTS - Game Boys, Cell phones, iPODS, etc.
Transportation: The Pack is NOT providing pack-sponsored or funded transportation. However, some parents are interested in traveling together, and we have contacted Enterprise Rental Car, and they have offered to rent 15-passenger vans at a cost of $250 for the weekend, unlimited mileage. This works out to approximately $25 per person. A volunteer will have to rent the van and then collect money from those who travel with them. The pack will not insure or take responsibility for the van, driver, or passengers while being transported - this is the same as two or more families deciding to carpool together on their own.
If you are interested in participating in a van pool, please click on this link to sign up. No money will be collected at this time, and this will not obligate you to riding in a van. This sign-up sheet will allow us to collect contact information to provide to the volunteer drivers/renters.

How much does it cost?
- $50.00 per person ($49.00 + 1.00 convenience charge)

How can I sign up?
Go to our Pack Online Store, and choose the USS Lexington Overnight Camping. You will be required to fill in the camper name and the rank/status, and then add it to your shopping cart. You can add one for each member of your family that is camping (no siblings). You will then pay online and will be emailed a receipt/confirmation.
